Nearly 10,000 Killed in Syria Since Fall of Bashar al-Assad’s Regime
ARK News.. A Syrian human rights source revealed that nearly 10,000 people have been killed in Syria over the past eight months since the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime on December 8, 2024.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported documenting 9,889 fatalities across Syria between December 8, 2024, and August 6, 2025, as violence and rights violations persist at the hands of local and foreign actors, alongside widespread security chaos.
Among the victims, 7,449 were civilians, including 396 children and 541 women.
