UK Sends Aid Package to Displaced in Suwayda, Daraa, and Rural Damascus

ARK News.. The British government announced a humanitarian aid package to support over 85,000 Syrians affected by the recent wave of violence in southern Syria.

According to the statement, the aid includes medical and humanitarian assistance, such as food supplies, clean water, and basic healthcare for displaced families in Suwayda, Daraa, and Rural Damascus.

The package also provides mobile medical teams for urgent care, medicines, and emergency equipment for health centers, along with special support for pregnant women and new mothers.

Additionally, the assistance will cover food items, clean water, and hygiene and sanitation supplies.

The aid package, worth £1.7 million, will be implemented through partnerships with UNFPA, the International Medical Corps (IMC), and local Syrian organizations, in collaboration with the Aid Fund for Syria (AFS).

The British government stressed that strict mechanisms are in place to ensure the aid reaches those in need.
