Independent International Commission Urges al-Sharaa to Publicly Release Coastal Events Report
ARK News.. The Independent International Commission of Inquiry has called on Syrian President Ahmad Al-Sharaa to publicly release the findings of the national investigative report into the coastal events that took place in March.
In a statement published on the social media platform X, the Commission said:
“We acknowledge receipt of the report by the Independent National Committee investigating the events in Syria’s coastal region in March, which has now been submitted to the Syrian Presidency. We look forward to its findings being made public.”
The Commission further noted that the recent escalation in Suwayda had highlighted the urgent need for accountability and reform to protect civilians and prevent future violations.
President Ahmad al-Sharaa officially received the final report from the Independent National Committee on Sunday, July 20, marking the completion of the committee’s mandate to investigate the coastal region’s deadly incidents earlier this year.
