Southern Tribal Coalition Announces Commitment to Ceasefire
ARK News.. The Southern Tribal Coalition has declared its full commitment to a comprehensive and immediate ceasefire, in response to the Syrian Presidency’s call to halt all hostilities. The group emphasized its dedication to preserving lives and distancing itself from sectarian strife and internal conflict.
In a statement published Saturday, July 19, 2025, on its official Facebook page, the Coalition called for the release of all detained tribal members and demanded the safe, unconditional return of all displaced persons to their homes and villages. It also urged the opening of channels for dialogue and coordination to ensure such incidents are not repeated, paving the way for lasting stability.
The statement underscored that the tribes have always been people of peace and national loyalty, never advocates of war or violence. “When fighting is imposed on us, it is not a choice but a necessity — a legitimate defense of our dignity and our lives in the face of aggression,” the coalition said.
