France Condemns Violations Against Civilians in Suwayda
ARK News.. The French Foreign Ministry affirmed its support for the Syrian authorities' efforts to achieve calm in Suwayda Governorate, condemned the violations against civilians, and called for their end.
The French Foreign Ministry expressed its "deep concern over the current dangerous developments" in the Sweida region, calling for an immediate cessation of hostilities.
The French Foreign Ministry called on all actors to "do everything within their power to ensure the safety of civilians, restore calm, and promote peace among all components of Syrian society, particularly the Druze and other communities in Sweida."
It also emphasized the need to "put an end to violations targeting civilians, and strongly condemn them," emphasizing that all actors respect the ceasefire announced by the Syrian government's Minister of Defense.
The French Foreign Ministry added that it supports the efforts undertaken by the Syrian government with officials in the Suwayda region to resume dialogue, expressing its hope for a sustainable agreement to strengthen unity, establish security, and extend sovereignty in Syria, while preserving the security of all Syrians.
