Europe: Summary of the Meeting Between the Kurdish National Council and the Kurdistan Azadi Party

ARK News.. By invitation of the Kurdistan Azadi Party (PAK), a joint meeting was held between the European Representation of the Kurdish National Council (KNC) and the PAK leadership in Europe.

During the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening relations and coordination among Kurdish forces across all parts of Kurdistan.

Shamal Piran, PAK’s representative in Europe, highlighted recent political developments in Iranian Kurdistan and the challenges faced by the Kurdish movement there under ongoing repression and marginalization policies.

For his part, Abdul Karim Haji, head of the European Representation of the Kurdish National Council, addressed the political situation of the Kurdish people in Syria, noting the complex circumstances facing the Syrian Kurd amid continued marginalization and regional and international challenges.

Haji also discussed the outcomes of the recent Kurdish conference held in Qamishlo, stressing the need to work toward a unified and effective representation of the Kurdish cause in Syria within a national democratic project that includes all components of the country.

The meeting also covered the issue of the “Kurdish delegation,” which is intended to represent the Kurdish political voice in any future political settlement for Syria. Both sides stressed the importance of building an independent and unified Kurdish representation that reflects the aspirations of the Kurdish people and honors their struggle and sacrifices.

Both parties affirmed their commitment to continue meetings and intensify joint coordination in service of the just national cause of the Kurdish people across all parts of Kurdistan.

The ENKS European Representation delegation included: Head of Representation Abdul Karim Haji; Kamiran Khalaf, Head of Relations Office; and Relations Office members Faseeh Kalash and Baran Darbas.

Representing PAK were Shamal Piran, Party Representative in Europe; Leyla Ziegland, Head of Relations Office; and Central Committee members Bejan Zebai, Parast Parvaz, and Fouad Rahimi.
