Anwar Qaraqash: Economic Success Is the Best Path to Put Syria on the Road to Prosperity

ARK News.. The diplomatic advisor to the President of the UAE affirmed that the meeting between President Mohamed bin Zayed and Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa reflects the depth of fraternal ties between the two nations and embodies the UAE’s commitment to supporting Syria during this pivotal moment in its history.

Anwar Qaraqash said the economic and development track was at the heart of the discussions between the two leaders. He highlighted the inspiring success of the large Syrian community in the UAE—now nearing 400,000 people—as a key to future cooperation and a reflection of the pivotal role the UAE can play in supporting Syria, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM).

Qaraqash stressed that economic and developmental success is the most effective way to place Syria on a path of recovery and prosperity, especially amid growing regional openness toward Damascus.

President Ahmad al-Sharaa of Syria arrived in the United Arab Emirates on Monday evening, launching his Gulf tour from Abu Dhabi. He met with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and the two leaders discussed bilateral cooperation and ways to enhance it across various fields, as well as regional and international developments and issues of mutual interest.
