ARK News.. The Legal Office of the Kurdish National Council in Syria issued a statement affirming that attempts to defame or distort its work will not deter it from continuing its struggle and efforts in pursuit of the just Kurdish cause.
Below is the full text of the statement:
On June 22, 2025, a delegation from the Legal Office of the Kurdish National Council traveled to the Syrian capital, Damascus, where it held meetings with several relevant legal institutions, including: the Bar Association, the Ministry of Justice, the National Commission for Transitional Justice, and the National Commission for the Missing.
This visit comes as a continuation of previous visits and within the framework of the tasks assigned to the Legal Office, aimed at addressing the injustices caused by exceptional decrees, laws, and decisions that have specifically targeted the Kurdish people. The visit also focused on the issue of the missing, mechanisms for implementing transitional justice, and following up on matters concerning lawyers in the Hasaka Governorate. All messages and concerns were successfully delivered to the appropriate authorities.
Attempts at defamation and distortion will not dissuade us from continuing our struggle and work for our just cause. We in the Legal Office will persist in our mission in a manner that serves the legitimate rights and aspirations of the Kurdish people.
