U.S. Forces Withdraw from al-Wazir and Til Baydar Bases in Hasaka
ARK News.. The U.S. military has withdrawn from two of its bases in northeastern Syria, raising the total number of evacuated sites to at least four since President Donald Trump assumed office, according to Asharq Al-Awsat citing Reuters.
The report confirms that American forces have vacated the "al-Wazir" and "Til Baydar" bases in Syria’s Hasaka province. Both locations are now reportedly deserted and guarded by small units of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
Cameras used by coalition forces have been removed, and barbed wire fencing around the outer perimeter has begun to be dismantled.
This marks the first on-the-ground confirmation of the U.S. withdrawal from the two Hasaka bases, amid ongoing strategic adjustments in the region.
