KNC Delegation Attends 4th Congress of Kurdistan Socialist Party in Amed (Diyarbakir)
ARK News.. By official invitation from the Kurdistan Socialist Party (PSK), a delegation from the Kurdish National Council in Syria (KNC) participated in the fourth congress of the PSK, held in Amed (Diyarbakir) with broad attendance from representatives of Kurdish political parties, civil society organizations, and national figures.
Muslim Mohammed, Central Committee member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party – Syria (PDK-S) and KNC chair in Urfa, delivered a speech on behalf of the Council. He expressed gratitude for the invitation and congratulated the PSK leadership and members on the convening of their congress during this sensitive period for the region.
Mohammed voiced hope that the congress would meet its strategic goals and produce decisions that strengthen the PSK’s role in addressing current challenges and advancing the Kurdish cause and national interests.
He also addressed recent developments in Syria, underlining the importance of building a democratic, federal, and pluralistic state that guarantees the legitimate rights of all communities, especially the Kurdish people.
Highlighting outcomes from a recent KNC conference, Mohammed stressed the significance of Kurdish unity and collective national work to fulfill the aspirations of all Syrians for democratic change.
In conclusion, he commemorated the 68th anniversary of the founding of the Kurdistan Democratic Party – Syria, which fell on June 14, extending congratulations to the Kurdish people, party members, and allies. He reaffirmed the party’s continued struggle for Kurdish national identity and legitimate rights.
The congress also included a letter from Mohammad Ismail, Secretary of the PDK-S, who conveyed the party's support for the congress, praised the PSK’s national role, and wished continued success for its political and organizational efforts. Ismail affirmed the brotherly relations between the two parties.
