Kurdistan Democratic Party–Syria and Kurdistani Vanguard Party Discuss Latest Political Developments in the Region
ARK News.. On Thursday, May 22, 2025, senior representatives of the Kurdistan Democratic Party–Syria (KDP-S) and the Kurdistani Vanguard Party held a meeting in Qamishli to exchange views on the latest political developments in the region.
The meeting took place at the Western Office of the KDP-S, where party secretary Mohammad Ismail received a delegation from the Kurdistani Vanguard Party headed by Dr. Ismail Hassaf.
Discussions centered on the outcomes of the recent Kurdish Unity Conference, with particular emphasis on the Kurdish agreement that emerged from it. Both sides underscored the importance of Kurdish unity and the need to strengthen mechanisms for joint cooperation in pursuit of the Kurdish people’s legitimate national rights.
The two parties also stressed the need to reinforce the role of the Kurdish National Council in Syria and highlighted the importance of continuing such meetings to bridge differences and enhance unified national action in the face of ongoing challenges.
During the meeting, the delegations exchanged views on the broader political landscape in the region.
