KNC Leadership Meets with UK Delegation to Discuss Syrian Developments

ARK News.. The Leadership of the Kurdish National Council (KNC) in Syria held a meeting on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, with a delegation from the United Kingdom to discuss recent developments in Syria, with a particular focus on the Kurdish situation.

The meeting took place at the headquarters of the Kurdistan Democratic Party – Syria, as part of ongoing international efforts to support peace and stability in the region.

Both sides exchanged views on the current political landscape in Syria, including evolving dynamics within Kurdish regions. A key topic of discussion was the importance of Kurdish-Kurdish dialogue and the need to form a unified Kurdish delegation to represent the Kurdish people's aspirations in any future dialogue with the new authorities in Damascus.

The UK delegation praised the KNC’s role and consistent efforts to uphold the rights of the Kurdish people in Syria, acknowledging the council's political struggle and commitment to democratic values.

Mohammed Ismail, head of the KNC in Syria, expressed gratitude to the visiting delegation for their attention and support, affirming the Council’s readiness to engage in constructive dialogue that reflects the will and rights of the Kurdish population.
