Shamsa Issa: Mazloum Abdi Must Return My Kidnapped Daughter, or I Will Set Myself on Fire
ARK News.. In Kobani in Syrian Kurdistan, armed members of the Revolutionary Youth Movement affiliated with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), have abducted another Kurdish child—an only daughter to her parents.
Shamsa Issa, the mother of 13-year-old Rehab Youssef Sheikho, who is in the sixth grade, has issued a desperate plea to SDF Commander Mazloum Abdi, demanding the safe return of her kidnapped daughter.
Issa stated that militants took her only child from their home, calling on Abdi to intervene and return her. She threatened to take her own life if her daughter was not returned, declaring that it would be a disgrace to the SDF if they failed to act.
The SDF recently returned Rosel Adnan Abdi, a 16-year-old girl and the only child of her parents, on Saturday, March 29, 2025. This came after widespread outcry against the actions of the Revolutionary Youth Movement and her father’s ultimatum that he would take his own life if she was not released.
