Germany to Host Largest Newroz Celebration

ARK News.. The Kurdistan Community Union and the general Kurdish community in Germany have announced the organization of the largest Newroz celebration in the country, under the theme "Shoulder to Shoulder, Heart to Heart for Unity in Syrian Kurdistan." The event will take place in Cologne on March 22, 2025.

The celebration will feature a distinguished lineup of renowned Kurdish artists, including Shivan Berwar, Aland Hazem, Sharif Amri, Hani Mjtehidi, Ayoub Ali, Nazdar, Khabat Dhoqi, Azad Faqi, Hejal Ilani, and Amin Nader. The Union has emphasized that entry will be free for all Kurds in the diaspora, with no tickets being sold for the event.

As part of the Newroz celebrations, the Union also announced a similar event in collaboration with the Kurdistan Committee in Georgia, to be held in the capital city, Tbilisi, on April 7, 2025. The event will feature several artists, including Safdin Khilat, Sherin Welat, Hamid, Mikael Kolo, and Khero Abbas.

Newroz is a symbol of Kurdish cultural identity, and this celebration serves as an opportunity to strengthen unity and solidarity among the Kurdish diaspora.
