ARK News.. Following the arrest of Kurdish civilians for raising the Kurdistan flag while welcoming a convoy of security forces from Syria’s new administration on Thursday, February 6, 2025, Syrian security authorities have given the al-Amshat faction a 24-hour deadline to vacate the center of Shiye town in Afrin.

According to exclusive sources, after the Public Security convoy entered the center of Mabata district and was welcomed by locals waving the Kurdistan flag, over 25 young men were arrested by the security division of the disbanded Suleiman Shah faction (Al-Amshat). The head of the division, known as "Abu Ghazi," was subsequently ordered to leave the district center within 24 hours.

The same sources reported that al-Amshat’s security flags were removed in Mabata, and the faction was given a deadline to close its office. Abu Ghazi was specifically instructed to vacate the area within the given timeframe.

Following mediation by local dignitaries and the intervention of the Public Security Administration, the detainees were immediately released. However, sources confirmed that the security division had demanded a $100 fee from each detainee before their release.

Additionally, members of the Syrian security forces patrolled local shops, questioning business owners about the violations they had faced at the hands of the factions.
