Israel Continues to Target Syria's Military Arsenal

ARK News.. A Syrian human rights source has reported that Israeli warplanes launched a series of airstrikes on Syrian military sites, targeting remnants of the country's military arsenal.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights confirmed that Israeli jets struck several locations overnight on Wednesday and Thursday, December 11 and 12, 2024. Targets included the Latakia port, Dhahr al-Zuwwaba in Baniyas, and former regime military warehouses in Dhahr Safra, rural Tartous. The attacks reportedly caused missiles stored at these sites to explode and scatter unpredictably.

The source emphasized that Israeli airstrikes have been systematically dismantling Syria's remaining military capabilities for the fourth consecutive day since the fall of the former regime on December 8. The strikes have been described as highly concentrated and deliberate.

According to the source, Israel has carried out over 352 airstrikes across 13 Syrian provinces since the announcement of Bashar al-Assad's regime collapse on the morning of December 8, 2024.

These developments highlight the continued regional implications of Syria's political upheaval, with Israel intensifying its efforts to neutralize military threats from the country amidst the ongoing transition of power.
