Afrin.. Al-Amshat gunmen impose new fees on the Kurds in Shiye and Mabata towns
ARK News.. Once again, Shiye and Mabata tows in Afrin city in Syrian Kurdistan, witnessed popular unrest due to the fees and strikes imposed by the militants on the citizens.
A special source told ARK News that the "Al-Amshat" militants are tightening the escrow on the Kurds and imposing new fees on the centre of Shiye and Mabata towns and (18) villages affiliated with them in Afrin and are assaulting anyone who violates the decision:
According to the special source, the fees are as follows:
- $ 100 for each house.
- $ 200 for shop owners.
- $ 300 for each artesian well.
- 500 Turkish liras for each walnut tree.
The source added that the gunmen assaulted Omar Bilal and Bakr Dilke because they were unable to pay a fine of (100) US dollars.
