
Mahmoud Al-Musled, co-chair of SDC, calls on professionals to release ISIS
ARK News.. Not only did the leaders of the Syrian Democratic Forces and the PYD administration pardon hundreds of ISIS members and their families in their amnesty issued several days ago, but Mahmoud Al-Muslet, the co-chair of the Syrian Democratic Council, received them immediately after they left prisons.
In a published video, Mahmoud Al-Muslet, co-chair of the Syrian Democratic Council, leads the delegation welcoming the prisoners who were pardoned by the PYD administration, the majority of whom are ISIS members.
This pardon, reception, and congratulations come to a large number of ISIS members on their release, at a time when the fate of 19 kidnapped members, activists, and media professionals of the Kurdish National Council remains unknown.
The PYD administration’s pardon included, among specific details and procedures, 1,512 prisoners, including 60 women, who committed crimes before July 17, 2024, the majority of whom were ISIS members.
According to media sources, the release process consists of two stages:
The first: The release of 1,112 people, in batches, starting from Raqqa prison, then Hasaka, then Qamishlo, then Derik, then Kobani, and finally Manbij.
Second: The remaining 400 prisoners were released at a later time.
The Syrian Democratic Forces began the process of releasing prisoners from Raqqa prison on the night the amnesty was issued (July 17, 2024), and so far, hundreds of them have been released.
The following is a list of the names of the abductees of the Kurdish National Council in Syria in the prisons of the PYD administration, who were not included in the amnesty and any other amnesty issued earlier:
1- Bahzad Dorsin, member of the political bureau of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria, was kidnapped in the Derik countryside on October 24, 2012.
2- Nidal Othman, a member of the Derik Organization of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria, was kidnapped in the countryside of the city of Derik on October 24, 2012.
3- Jamil Omar, head of the Kurdish Democratic Forces in Syria, was kidnapped in the city of Qamishlo on July 13, 2012.
4- Ahmed Othman Sido, member of the Afrin Organization of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria, was kidnapped in the city of Afrin on September 10, 2013.
5- Idris Alo, member of the Afrin Organization of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria, was kidnapped in Afrin city on November 8, 2013.
6- Fouad Ibrahim, member of the General Secretariat of the Kurdish National Council in Syria), was kidnapped in Derik city on March 24, 2017.
7- Amir Hamed, a member of the SOS organization, was kidnapped in Derbasiya on January 11, 2014.
8- Rakan Ahmed, a journalist and member of the Branch Council of the Kurdistan Democratic Party-Syria, was kidnapped in the town of Girke Lake on March 31, 2024.
9 - Marwan Hussein Liyani, a youth activist and member of the Girke Lake Local Council of the Kurdish National Council in Syria, was kidnapped in the town of Girke Lake on April 1, 2024.
10 - Ahmed Hassan Sofi, a journalist and member of Area Council of the Kurdistan Democratic Party-Syria, was kidnapped in Derik city, on April 2, 2024.
11 - Hussam Dorsin, a member of the Area Committee of the Kurdistan People Party - Syria and a member of the Kurdish National Council in Syria, was kidnapped in Derik city on April 1, 2024.
12- Nasser Jaro, a member of the Area Committee of the Kurdistan Yakiti Party-Syria, and a theatrical actor in the Khinav band, was kidnapped on April 21, 2024, while he was returning from work to his home in the city of Amouda.
13- Saleh Hamid Baggari (17 years old), a member of the Khinav band, was kidnapped on May 9, 2024, while he was leaving school in the city of Amouda.
14- Majdal Daham Haj Qassim, member of the Area Committee in the Amouda organization of the Kurdistan Yakiti Party-Syria and official of the Khinav division, was kidnapped after leaving the party’s office in the city of Amouda on May 9, 2024.
15- Abdul Rahman Shangi, a member of the Area Council of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria, was kidnapped from his home in the village of Tabka in the countryside of the city of Derik, Syrian Kurdistan, on June 6, 2024.
16- Khaled Miro, member of the sub-council of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria, was kidnapped from his home in Derik city, Syrian Kurdistan, on June 9, 2024.
17- Fawaz Banko, a leader in the Kurdistan Democratic Unity Party, was kidnapped from his home in Amouda city in Syrian Kurdistan on June 9, 2024.
18- Berivan Ismail, a journalist in the Kurdish National Council in Syria, was kidnapped from her home in Amouda city on June 9, 2024.
19- Fathi Sarhan Kaddo, a member of the advisory body of the Kurdistan Yakiti Party - Syria, was kidnapped by gunmen from the PYD administration in Qamishlo city, Syrian Kurdistan, on June 15, 2024.
Hawar News Agency, affiliated with the PYD administration, said that the issuance of the amnesty law came in response to the demands of the tribal sheikhs and notables, during the second National Unity Forum for the Syrian Clans and Components, and coinciding with the anniversary of the start of the PYD’s July 19 Revolution.
