Hasaka.. Families of four kidnapped children confirm the continuation of their demonstrations in front of SDF headquarters

ARK News.. The families of four children kidnapped by militants of the Revolutionary Youth Movement demonstrated in front of the Vanguard camp in Hasaka city, demanding the return of their minor children.

Local sources from Hasaka city reported that the families of the kidnapped children (Muhammad Abd al-Raouf Othman, Ayaz Jovan Haj Muhammad, Omar Jiwan Isa, and Muhammad Ubaid al-Salim), who were between the ages of (11-14) years, demonstrated in front of al-Tala’i camp in Hasaka city, demanding that the militants of the movement... The Revolutionary Youth of the Syrian Democratic Forces returned their children.

They confirmed that they will continue the demonstrations in front of the Syrian Democratic Forces camps until the children are released and returned.

The Syria Monitoring Network for Human Rights said earlier that it documented, on July 15, 2024, the kidnapping by militants of the Revolutionary Youth Movement of the Syrian Democratic Forces of minor children (Omar Jiwan al-Isa), (Ayaz Jovan Haj Muhammad) and (Muhammad Abdul Raouf Othman), whose ages range from (11-13) years old from the village of Tel Tawil Marsho in the countryside of Hasaka city in Syrian Kurdistan, and they were taken to the recruitment camps in the al-Tala’i camp in Hasaka city.

The Network added that the minor, Muhammad Ubaid Salim, 14 years old, was kidnapped on July 9, 2024, from the eastern Gweran neighbourhood in Hasaka Governorate in Syrian Kurdistan, and was taken to compulsory conscription camps.

The Network confirmed that the families of the kidnapped children demanded their return, but they received death threats and beatings from the kidnappers if they continued to demand their children.

Antonio Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations, said during a report entitled “Children and Armed Conflict” issued on June 3, 2024 that the Syrian Democratic Forces and parties affiliated with it recruited (462) children in the areas they control during the year 2023.
