
Afrin.. Fires consume dozens of olive and forest trees in Bilbile town
ARK News.. Fires continue to consume hundreds of forest and olive trees around Afrin city in Syrian Kurdistan since the start of the summer season and the temperatures have risen.
Local sources from Afrin city said that fires broke out, on Thursday (July 11, 2024), in agricultural lands and forests in a mountain adjacent to the village of Beke in the Bilbile town of Afrin, Syrian Kurdistan, and dozens of olive and forest trees burned as a result of the fire.
The fires broke out, on Sunday, July 8, 2024, in agricultural lands and the forests located between the villages of (Maydana - Semalka - Adama - Bilelko) in the Rajo district of the city of Afrin, and the fires consumed hundreds of forest trees (oaks - arbutus -terebinth tree) and dozens of olive and sumac trees.
On Sunday, 2/6/2024), fires broke out in the forests of Mount Belel in the Rajo town of Afrin city in Syrian Kurdistan.
Mount Zênê, opposite Mount Bilel, was subjected to arson at the end of last May, and material damage was recorded to Kurdish property in the area.
