Afrin... About 10 Kurdish civilians from the village of Aghjalye were arrested

ARK News… The pace of random arrests against Kurds in Afrin city in Syrian Kurdistan has increased in the recent period, especially women, under false pretexts, and dealing with the PYD administration, which previously controlled the Afrin city.

According to local sources, last Thursday, February 16, 2024, Turkish intelligence arrested a number of Kurdish citizens, most of them women and the elderly, in the village of “Aghjalye” in the Jenderes town of the city of Afrin in Syrian Kurdistan.

According to the source, the detainees are:

1- Muhammad Oso, was released.

2- Hassan Sabri was released.

3- Suleiman Khilo (70 years old), was released in exchange for a ransom of (1,200) US dollars.

4- Izzat Khilo (65 years old).

5- Mahmoud Alloush (85) years old.

6- Ahmed Muhammad Owusu (36 years old), is still detained and has been denied visits.

7- Ahmed Khilo, father of al-Mukhtar (80 years old).

8- Sheikh Muhammad Sheikho (75 years old).

9- Zahida Hamza Amin (70 years old).

Local sources confirmed that the citizens who were arrested had been arrested previously, and some of them had been arrested more than once.

The military police and militants of the armed factions in several villages in the city of Afrin arrested dozens during the recent period.
