Clarification from the media office of the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government

ARK News… Today, Saturday, the media office of the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, issued a clarification regarding what was published on several websites and pages about his recent interview with the American channel NBC.

The media office of the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government said in a statement: “Some local websites and social media pages published some inappropriate statements and interpretations that are far from the political and security realities of the region, and attempted to distort the opinions and statements of the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government during his recent interview with NBC.”

He added: "During the meeting, the Prime Minister of Kurdistan stressed the necessity of protecting the constitutional entity of the Kurdistan Region and continuing to take all measures to remove the threats to which the Kurdistan Region is exposed."

The statement stressed that "hiding and deceiving in front of enemies will not reduce risks and threats, so everyone must be at the level of responsibility towards Kurdistan and the Kurdish people."
