ARK News… A Kurdish citizen and his wife died of suffocation due to air pollution resulting from the operation of an electric generator in one of the villages of the town of Chil Agha in Syrian Kurdistan.

Local sources reported to Rebaz News, today, January 31, 2024, that Naif Ramo Othman and his wife Shukria Abdo, residents of the village of Hallaq, affiliated with Chil Agha, died of suffocation as a result of air pollution resulting from the operation of an electric generator last night.

He added that the two bodies are now in al-Salam Hospital in the city of Girke Lage until the forensic doctor arrives.

The areas of Syrian Kurdistan under the control of the PYD administration suffer from a lack of electricity following the recent Turkish bombing of infrastructure, forcing people to use generators to provide electricity.
