Targeting two American bases in Syria
ARK News… On Sunday, January 21, two American bases in Syria were targeted again by Iranian-backed militias.
The "Islamic Resistance in Iraq" militia said that it targeted, with drones, the al-Omar field base in Deir Ez-Zour and the al-Shaddadi base in Hasakah.
In this context, the Syrian Observatory reported, “As part of the International Coalition’s reinforcement of military bases in northeastern Syria after they were subjected to strikes by a pro-Iranian militia, 3 helicopters loaded with military equipment belonging to the American forces landed at the Konico gas plant base in the eastern countryside of Deir Ez-Zour.”
It also monitored the landing of a cargo plane carrying weapons and precision military equipment, in addition to a number of soldiers, at the Kharab al-Jir base in the Derik countryside.
US Department of Defense spokesman Patrick Ryder had previously announced that the number of attacks on US military bases in Iraq and Syria had reached 130 since October 17, 2023, including 77 attacks in Syria.
