The coalition denounces the crime committed against a Syrian child in Gaziantep, Turkey
ARK News… The head of the Syrian National Coalition, Hadi al-Bahra, expressed his strong condemnation of the heinous crime committed against the Syrian child, Ahmed Zeinab, in the state of Gaziantep.
The National Coalition's media department said that al-Bahra confirmed working to "follow up the case with the Turkish legal authorities that arrested the accused and investigated them so that the criminals receive their punishment."
He explained that the National Coalition followed up on what happened and "the director of the National Coalition office in the state of Gaziantep was assigned to follow up on the case, who in turn visited the child and his family in the hospital where he was being treated."
Hadi al-Bahra pointed out that he made contact with the child’s family on Friday, where he renewed his strong condemnation of the crime, and confirmed the Coalition’s readiness to appoint a law firm in coordination with them “to follow up on the case through the Turkish courts so that the criminals receive just punishment.”
On Tuesday, the Syrian child, Ahmed Zeinab (14 years old), was subjected to a horrific physical assault by a Turkish family, following an argument that took place between the child and the family’s children in a school in Gaziantep.
Human rights activists reported that “the family went to the school, kidnapped Ahmed, took him to an unknown location, and subjected him to a series of torture, by pulling out his hair and putting it in his mouth, beating him with hard tools on various parts of his body, and inserting a key into his anus.”
The child, Ahmed Zainab, is currently lying in the hospital, suffering from serious wounds and spasms in his limbs. He underwent an operation to remove the key from his body.
