A case of security chaos in Afrin... Unidentified persons kill a young Kurdish man

ARK News… Unidentified persons killed a young Kurdish man from the Sherawa district of the city of Afrin in Syrian Kurdistan, amid escalating killings and security chaos in the region.

Local sources reported to ARK those unknown assailants killed the young Kurdish man, Khaled Jamil Nabo (35 years old), from the village of Kimare in the Sherawa town, on December 24, 2023, with a gunshot to the head while he was returning in his car on the dirt road from the town of Nubil to the village of Al-Ziyara after he Receive a money transfer.

Khaled was forcibly displaced from his village of Kimare, which is under the control of Turkish-backed armed factions, during the attack on Afrin in 2018, and resided in the village of Burj al-Qas, which is under the control of the PYD.

The Afrin region is witnessing a state of security chaos and an escalation in kidnappings and killings, in addition to civilians being subjected to continuous violations, arrests, and the imposition of taxes of exorbitant amounts of money by the armed factions in areas under their control.
