Derik... Celebrating Kurdistan Flag Day in the Kurdistan Democratic Party-Syria office

ARK News… On the occasion of Kurdish Flag Day, the Culture and Information Office of the Kurdistan Democratic Party-Syria organized a lecture in the city of Derik, Syrian Kurdistan.

On Saturday (16/12/2023), the Culture and Information Office of the Kurdistan Democratic Party held a lecture on the occasion of Kurdish Flag Day in the party’s office in Derik in Syrian Kurdistan, delivered by writer Ahmed Sofi, in which he talked about the history and meanings of the colors of the Kurdish flag.

In a special statement to ARK News, Basse Abdi, a member of the political bureau of the Kurdistan Democratic Party-Syria, said that commemorating such national and patriotic events is one of the basics in the program of work and interests of the Kurdistan Democratic Party-Syria.

Abdi added that there are many different activities and events, “lectures, seminars, poetry evenings, events” included in the work of the Dirk organizations of the Kurdistan Democratic Party-Syria.

For his part, Hassan Murad, a member of the Derik Local Council of the Kurdish National Council in Syria said that the Kurdish Flag Day, which was designated by the Kurdistan Parliament, is a sacred national day for the Kurdish movement in Syrian Kurdistan.
