ARK News… The fuel crisis is at the forefront of the scene in Syrian Kurdistan, and citizens and car owners are suffering from securing it, in addition to the high price and poor quality.

A special source confirmed to "ARK", today, December 6, 2023, that the Fuel Authority affiliated with the PYD administration cut off diesel from gas stations for cars, as well as from electrical generators in the cities of Syrian Kurdistan and areas under the control of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), under the pretext of providing diesel for distribution to Homes.

He added that this administration allocates only 300 liters of diesel to each family annually, and this quantity is very low and not sufficient for heating, and the average family consumption is about 700 liters annually.

Gas stations in most cities in Syrian Kurdistan have witnessed an almost complete outage of diesel fuel for more than 10 days, under the pretext of distributing heating diesel to homes, which has created dissatisfaction among car owners and drivers.

Recently, ARK has received dozens of video clips from the cities and towns of Syrian Kurdistan under the control of the PYD and SDF administration, showing hundreds of cars standing in queues for long hours in front of gas stations.

The fuel crisis in the cities and towns of Syrian Kurdistan comes at a time when several sources confirm that the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) has doubled the Syrian regime’s share of oil, and the departure of tanker convoys loaded with oil resources from the areas under the control of the SDF to the areas controlled by the factions and the regime.
