An appeal through ARK to reveal the fate of an engineer who was kidnapped more than three weeks ago in Afrin
ARK News… More than three weeks ago, a Kurdish engineer in Afrin, Syrian Kurdistan, was kidnapped by an unknown party, and although his family found the private car in which he was traveling, an unknown fate surrounds him until now.
Sheikh Saeed, the engineer’s relative, said in a special statement to ARK on Saturday, October 21, 2023, “My relative Sheikho Haj Ahmad Zada was kidnapped while he was heading alone from his home in Afrin, the city, to our village Zaytonake (Nabi Hori) on the 29th of last September, taking the Rajo road.”
He explained, "After entering the “Emara Şêxûtka” village junction after the Naba’a press, he was kidnapped by unknown persons, according to cameras tracking on the road."
He continued by saying, "We, as his relative, learned of his kidnapping at around seven in the evening, after informing the relevant authorities and circulating to the region's sectors."
He pointed out, "Less than two hours later, we found his car, a silver Hyundai Santa Fe, at a barn near the village of “Stêr”, taking roads known only to those living in that village."
He stressed, "Despite the ongoing diligent attempts to review all military and civilian departments and institutions, his fate is mysterious and unknown until now, and we have not received any information about him."
Sheikh Saeed appealed to the responsible authorities to search for him and reveal his fate.
After Turkey and the armed factions took control of Afrin and its countryside in 2018, arbitrary arrests and kidnappings of displaced Kurdish and Arab civilians were repeated, most of which were carried out on false charges and under various pretexts.”
The people demand the necessity of putting an end to armed phenomena, ending them radically, and removing militants from cities and populated areas.
