Voice of Detainees: The PYD administration demands the release of Junaid Sayed Majeed
ARK News… The Voice of Detainees organization called for the release of Junaid Sayed Majeed, a member of the Area Council of the Kurdistan Democratic Party-Syria, who was arrested by PYD militants on August 15, 2023.
The Voice of Detainees organization said in a statement: “The Asayish affiliated with the PYD administration arrested Junaid Sayed Majeed, a member of the Area Council of the Kurdistan Democratic Party-Syria, on August 15, 2023, from his office in the town of Girke Lage, and since his arrest, his fate remains unknown.”
The organization called on the PYD administration to bring Junaid Sayed Majeed to a fair court according to international standards. If he is not proven guilty of any crime that necessitates his imprisonment, he should be released immediately and his family allowed to visit him in prison.
The Voice of Detainees organization also called on international and local human rights organizations concerned with human rights to intervene to release him and all detainees.
The Voice of Detainees Organization is a non-political organization concerned with detainee affairs. It documented the names of dozens of detainees in the prisons of the Syrian regime, the armed factions, the Syrian Democratic Forces, and the PYD administration.
