More than 20 people are dead and injured, victims of two traffic accidents in Afrin, and the Civil Defense clarifies
ARK News… The city of Afrin and its countryside in Syrian Kurdistan, on Sunday, October 14, 2023, witnessed two traffic accidents, claiming the lives of more than twenty people, including one dead and one injured.
In detail, two civilians were involved in a motorcycle accident on the Aleppo Road in the center of the city of Afrin, in which the young man Hussein Ashraf Hanan, who hails from the village of Sheikh Kele, lost his life, while the other was seriously injured.
In another location, two children lost their lives and 19 other people were injured, most of them children, following a traffic accident near the Roman Bridge in the village of Deir Siwan in the Shara district.
A source from the Civil Defense said in exclusive statements to ARK that: A car carrying approximately 25 people, most of whom were displaced Arab children in the city and working in the olive harvest, was involved in an accident. Two children died and 19 people were injured, including 16 children, two women and one man.
He added that the Syrian Civil Defense Foundation treated a number of injured people to the hospital in the city of Izaz in the Aleppo countryside, while no information was published about the condition of the injured who were taken to the hospital.
On the seventh of this month, five people from one family hailing from the villages of Maydana in the Raju district of Afrin died, and another was injured in a traffic accident in the Turkish city of Gaziantep.
