An organization calls on the PYD administration to immediately release Junaid Sayed Majeed

ARK News… The Voice of Detainees Organization called on the PYD administration to immediately release Junaid Sayed Majeed, who has been detained since August 15. It also called on all local and international humanitarian and human rights organizations to intervene in revealing his fate and releasing him.

The Voice of Detainees Organization said in a post on the social networking site “Facebook”, viewed by ARK, “Asayish forces affiliated with the Autonomous Administration in northeastern Syria arrested Mr. Junaid Sayed Majeed, member of the Area Council of the Kurdistan Democratic Party in Syria, on 15/08/2023 from his office in Girke Lage.” "

It added, "His fate is still unknown to today's date, knowing that he was arrested twice before by these forces."

She demanded his release, saying, "We at the Voice of Detainees Organization call on these forces to bring Mr. Junaid Sayed Majeed to a fair court according to international standards. If he is not proven guilty of any crime that would necessitate his imprisonment, release him immediately and allow his family to visit him in prison."

It also sent a call to organizations to intervene in revealing his fate, "and we also call on international and local human rights organizations to intervene to release him."

Junaid Sayed Majeed and the journalist Barzan Hussein were arrested on the same day. Although the journalist Barzan Hussein was released on September 30, the fate of Junaid Sayed Majeed is mysterious and unknown.
