Qamishlo... A dialogue session of the Kurdistan-Syrian Women’s Union on the International Day of Peace
ARK News… The office of the Kurdistan Women’s Union - Syria in Qamishlo city held a dialogue session on the occasion of the International Day of Peace.
Civil society organizations and independent figures participated in the symposium. Arya Juma, official of the Qamishlo branch of the Union, spoke about this international day, which is dedicated to “promoting peace and understanding between nations and peoples.”
The attendees stressed the need to support efforts to end the war, which has caused great suffering to the people from “all conflicting parties,” and to end manifestations of violence and armament in Syria.
Calling for work to "find a comprehensive and just political solution that satisfies all parties in Syria."
The world celebrates the International Day of Peace annually on September 21, as the UNESCO General Assembly dedicated this day to consolidating the ideals of peace among all peoples and nations and within each of them.
