Nechirvan Barzani: Targeting the University of Sulaimaniyah and the city of Qala Diza is another futile attempt by the regime to break the will of the people and the Kurdish liberation movement
ARK News... Today, Monday, April 24, 2023, the President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, recalled the martyrs and victims of the bombing of Sulaimaniyah University and the city of Qal'at Diza, which was committed by the former Iraqi regime, on its forty-ninth anniversary.
The President of the Kurdistan Region confirmed in a statement, "Targeting the University of Sulaimaniyah and the city of Qal'at Diza is another futile attempt by the regime to break the will of the people and the Kurdish liberation movement, but the martyrdom of university students and professors and civilians from Qal'at Diza added more enthusiasm and determination to the spirit of confrontation among the people of Kurdistan." who vigorously continued his struggle for the sake of liberation.

On the forty-ninth anniversary of the bombing of the University of Sulaimaniyah and the city of Qala Diza, we pay tribute to the memory of the martyrs and victims of that crime committed by the former Iraqi regime, and we bow in the presence of their pure souls, and we salute their proud families and relatives.
Targeting the University of Sulaimaniyah and the city of Qala Diza was another futile attempt on the part of the regime to break the will of the people and the Kurdish liberation movement. However, the martyrdom of university students, professors, and civilians from Qala Diza added more enthusiasm and determination to the spirit of confrontation among the people of Kurdistan, who continued with the highest vigor, their struggle for the sake of emancipation.
On this anniversary, we reaffirm our full support for the demands of the patriots of Qal’at Diza and Bashdar, and we affirm the need to provide more services to this region in all aspects. The bashdar region has always been one of the castles of the revolutions and uprisings of Kurdistan, and many martyrs and great sacrifices were made for the sake of freedom.
