Today, the Kurds recalled the anniversary of the martyrdom of Sheikh Qahraman, one of the victims of the PKK in Syrian Kurdistan, who was assassinated on the night of April 16, 1986.

Since the founding of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in 1978, thousands of Kurds have been assassinated by its hand, amid confirmed news from within the party that it has liquidated 16 thousand of its cadres and members, in addition to thousands of Kurds in the four parts of Kurdistan.

With the beginning of the war in Syria and Bak taking power in Syrian Kurdistan under the mantle of the PYD administration, he continued the policy of assassinations and liquidations against national personalities, Kurdish families, politicians, activists, and media professionals, in implementation of the agendas of the Syrian regime.
