Afrin… A gunman from Sultan Murad seizes Kurdish property and another beats an employee in the Afrin region

In continuation of the violations against the Kurds in the city of Afrin in Syrian Kurdistan and its environs, one of Sultan Murad's gunmen in Shara town in the countryside of Afrin seized the property of a Kurdish citizen after he was expelled from his home, while another assaulted a Kurdish employee while he was at work in the city center of Afrin.

The Human Rights Organization in Afrin said in a report on Saturday, April 8, 2023: A member of the security headquarters of the Sultan Murad militia in Shara town, called "Ayman Suleiman, nicknamed Abu Suleiman," seized the property of the citizen, Ayat Miqdad, "from the village of Qurtqulaqe Kabir," and his house after he was expelled from the village, without stating the reasons, and claiming his affiliation with the Free Syrian National Army.

In its report, it added: One of the Arab auditors, called Ahmed, in the city of Afrin, insulted the citizen Hamoude Bakr, "from the village of Kafardale," an employee of the Water Corporation, and ill-treatment, which led to the employee responding to him, preserving his administrative status and serving the auditors within the framework of the stipulated laws. He was accompanied by the displaced Arab, a member of the civil police militia, to beat the employee in the presence of the director of the institution, “Abdul Qadir Khafed, nicknamed Abu Wahid,” from the people of Marea.

Noting that a similar incident occurred last year in which the manager was at a party and stood by his employee at the time and immediately called the police. However, in this incident, he did not move and did not try to return the officer to the citizen “Hamoude”, according to the same organization.
