Ali Sheikho to ARK: Islamization and the dominance of dead ideology stood as an obstacle to the Syrian revolution
ARK News... Writer Ali Sheikho, head of the Hawler branch of the Syrian Kurdistan Writers Union, on Thursday, March 16, 2023, said that 12 years after the Syrian revolution, the revolution reached a regrettable stage.
Sheikho said in exclusive statements to ARK that Islamization and the control of extremist parties brought us to this stage of the revolution and forced countries to intervene to abort it.
He continued that the fate of the Syrians is unknown, and it is unfortunate that a popular revolution in which the Kurds, Arabs, and all nationalities and sects participated has turned into an extremist Islamic revolution.
He pointed out that the Arab political parties and parties were unable to lead the revolution, and as for the Kurds, we were divided into two parts, one that stood with the revolution and the other that stood against the revolution.
He made it clear that raising and adopting Islamic slogans and terminology and interfering with Islamic thought will never be able to overthrow regimes. On the contrary, it forces states to intervene to abort them, not support them.
At the end of his speech, he said: Throughout history, no revolution has been victorious without plans and a solid policy, and it has not reached its goal of changing the regime and building a civil, democratic state. After twelve years of the revolution, the fate of millions is unfortunately unknown, according to him.
