ARK News... President Masoud Barzani received, on Saturday, the Emir of the Yazidis, Prince Hazem Tahsin Bag, Sheikh Ali Elias Baba Sheikh, and the Yezidi Spiritual Council, at the Salahuddin resort near Erbil.

According to a statement by President Barzani's headquarters, the Emir of the Yezidis briefed President Barzani on the results of his visit abroad and expressed his appreciation for the sacrifices of the Peshmerga forces and the Kurdistan Democratic Party for the Liberation of Shingal (Sinjar) and the protection and support of the Yazidi Kurds and other components.

During the meeting, it was stressed the need to implement the Shingal Agreement as soon as possible and to remove the obstacles that prevent the return of the displaced to their ancestral home.

On the issue of Shingal, President Barzani said that he supports the implementation of the Shingal Agreement in every way, considering that it is necessary for the outlawed forces to leave it, normalize conditions there, and hand them over to their original inhabitants.

Barzani stressed during the meeting that the Yezidi brothers and sisters will not be allowed to be marginalized.
