The tenth anniversary of the Burj Abdalo massacre in Afrin
ARK News: On the ninth anniversary of the massacre of Burj Abdalo, which was committed by the PYD gunmen, in the village of Burj Abdalo of the Kurdish city center of Afrin, which martyred four civilians from the village, the PYD arrested 90 people against the background of the massacre and one of the victims of the massacre martyred after being tortured in one of its prisons, which they were considered the Kurdish flag martyrs.
Kawa Khalid Hussein was one of the victims of the Burj Abdalo massacre who had been tortured in PYD prisons because he was one of the kidnapped against the backdrop of the massacre.
Against the backdrop of the massacre, the PYD kidnapped 90 people from the villages of Burj Abdalo, Basouta, and Ghazawiya.
The PYD committed many massacres against the Kurds in the Afrin region- the massacre of Sheikh Hanan, Burj Abdalo, Cheqilma, and Chobana, and those massacres were coordinated between the Syrian regime and the PYD and the aim of these massacres was to carry horror and fear in the minds of those who think of standing up to the PYD and the details of the massacre of Sheikh Hanan on the main street in the city of Afrin is the best proof of that.
The perpetrator of the massacre of Burj Abdalo village ten years ago which martyred each of the elderly, Abdo Jimo Hassan, Alaa Khalil Hasan, Kawa Khalid Hussein, and the child Ammar Nabo Hassan, were considered the Kurdish flag martyrs.
In addition to the martyrdom of four members of the Sheikho family from Shiye town: Walid Jamil Sheikho, Zakaria Jamil, Idris Sheikho 18/07/2013, and Jawhar Ahmed.
In addition, the PYD raided the village of Cheqilma of Rajo town and killed the young man, Sharvan Seydo, as a martyr, on 17/03/2013. In addition to the martyrdom of Hanan Hamdoush under torture in 2014.
The PYD also set fire to the tent of three elderly people 20/12/2016 Abdo Habash, Izzat Muhammad Khalil, and Mohsen Muhammad Khalil after they had taken them to forced conscription.
The PYD massacres were not limited to Afrin only, but also included other regions. In Amouda a massacre was committed on 27/06/2016, the mass of seven civilians in Amouda: Barzani Qarnu, Ali Randa, Sheikhmous Muhammad Ali, Syed Abdul Baqi Sida and Hussein Shaker Nader and Mohamed Khalo and Aras Banko.
Also in Kobani, on 11/11/2012, the child was martyred, Walat Hasi was martyred on their hands, and the PYD committed a massacre in Tel Ghazal under false pretenses in 2013, in which a number of the town's civilians were killed.
In the city of Qamishlo, a massacre was committed on 10/1/2012 against a Badro family, in which three brothers Ammar, Ahmed, and Nidal were killed in the massacre.
In addition to the aforementioned massacre, there are many massacres committed against the Kurds, far from documented by the media and the eyes of activists, and the fingers of accusation are directed at the PYD in targeting Kurdish leaders and activists, such as the martyrdom of the leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Surya Nasraddin Birhak, Mesh’al Tammo, Mahmoud Wali and Jiwan Qatina, Dr. Sherzad, and others.
During the past years of the Syrian war since 2011, the massacres remain a black page in the history of the PYD, and the perpetrators and killers are still being released and having fun without trial and judgment. The PYD has not even offered an apology, at least to the martyrs and their families, and admitted to the guilt it committed against the Kurds in Syrian Kurdistan.
