President Macron extends his special greetings and appreciation to President Masoud Barzani

ARK News... The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, on Thursday, February 16, 2023, met at the Elysee Palace in Paris, with French President Emmanuel Macron.

The meeting discussed ways to strengthen historical relations and consolidate the bonds of friendship between France and the Kurdistan Region, in addition to discussing the latest developments in the general situation and its developments in Iraq and the region.

The main axis of the meeting highlighted the reforms implemented by the ninth ministerial formation, especially in the areas of economic diversification, sources of revenue, interest in the agricultural sector, and the export of local products to foreign markets, especially European ones.

The Prime Minister thanked France, the government, and the people, for their continuous support for the Kurdistan Region, especially its permanent support for the people of Kurdistan in difficult days.

President Macron extended his greetings and appreciation to President Masoud Barzani, expressing his country's readiness to continue supporting the Kurdistan Region at all levels.

The two sides also discussed, in another axis of the meeting, the importance of solving problems between the Kurdistan Region and the federal government in a radical manner and on the basis of the constitution and protecting the security and stability of the region.
