Mohamed Ismail to ARK: We elected representatives of the Secretariat, youth, women, and independents
ARK News... Muhammad Ismail, a member of the Presidency of the Kurdish National Council in Syria, on Friday, February 17, 2023, said that the Council elected its representatives in its meeting, which was held in the city of Qamishlo, in Syrian Kurdistan.
Muhammad Ismail, a member of the Presidency of the Kurdish National Council in Syria, said that the meeting was attended by all members and representatives, except for representatives of the cities of Kobani and Afrin, due to the earthquake, the immediate crisis, and the exceptional situation.
Ismail said in statements to ARK: The Kurdish National Council is continuing its positions and has spared no effort to move forward until achieving the goals of our Kurdish people.
Muhammad Ismail indicated that the Council stressed in its meeting how to activate local committees and deliver logistical and material support to those affected by the devastating earthquake in the cities of Afrin and Jenderes.
He continued by saying: The representatives of the Council, youth, women, and independents were elected, and the presidency of the Council remains for two months when the activities and events of the month of March end.
The Kurdish National Council held the closing session of its fourth national conference on Monday, November 28, 2022, after the PYD militants prevented the conference from being held in the hall that was prepared for it, on the morning of November 14, in the city of Qamishlo, in Syrian Kurdistan.
