Rebar Ahmed: The local rescue teams cannot face the disaster in Afrin
ARK News... The Kurdish activist, Rebar Ahmed, on Monday, February 7, 2023, said that the disaster in the city of Afrin, in Syrian Kurdistan, is great and that the local rescue teams cannot face it.
While participating in Rebaz News, activist Rebar Ahmed explained, "Hundreds lost their lives due to the earthquake in Afrin, and thousands of people are missing under the rubble."
Regarding the rescue operations, Rebar said, the local rescue teams and the people are doing everything they can to save those trapped under the rubble, but the rescue tools are primitive and cannot face the disaster.
In this regard, the Kurdish activist appealed to international organizations to intervene and save Afrin from the disaster, and to provide aid to those affected.
Ahmed added that the number of victims is much greater than the announced statistics, and there are hundreds of unidentified bodies in the military hospital.
