The civil society gathering in Afrin appeals to help the city of Afrin, which was affected by the earthquake
ARK News... The Civil Society Gathering in Afrin, on Monday, February 6, 2023, issued an appeal to help the city of Afrin, in Syrian Kurdistan, which was hit by an earthquake disaster. The following is the text of the appeal:
A distress call to the United Nations
To organizations concerned with disaster relief in the world
To all governments that consider man the most precious existential value
To all the forces of good in the world
We appeal to you to help the Afrin region in Syria, which was hit by a catastrophic earthquake of magnitude 7.8 on the Richter scale on Monday, which affected the entire northwestern region of Syria and parts of Turkey.
This region is a double catastrophe because it is far from the reach of any authorities, and all other regions find someone who cares, and this region is only the efforts of its people and those displaced to it with their bare hands working to remove the rubble, save the living, and retrieve the bodies.
We appeal to everyone who can provide aid in all its forms in cases of disaster, to reach the Afrin region.
We appeal to the media to cover the situation in the Afrin region.
