President Barzani affirmed: The interests of the Kurdish people are above all other interests
ARK News... President Masoud Barzani, on Thursday, February 2, 2023, received the British Ambassador to Iraq, Mike Bryson Richardson, in Salah al-Din.
The meeting, which was attended by Mrs. Rosie Kyiv, the British consul in Erbil, discussed the political situation and the latest developments in the political process in the Kurdistan Region.
President Barzani stressed, in the meeting, that the interests of the Kurdish people are above all other interests, that the elections must be held in the Kurdistan Region, and that no other excuses will be accepted to postpone them.
The meeting also exchanged views on the reforms of the Ministry of Peshmerga and stressed that the organization, renewal, and reform of the Kurdish Peshmerga forces must be in line with the principles, morale, struggle, and steadfastness of the Peshmerga.
The obstacles facing the relations between the Kurdistan Regional Government and the Iraqi federal government constituted another topic for the meeting.
