Washington threatens non-compliant African countries with sanctions against Russia
ARK News… US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said that she discussed the issue of sanctions against the Russian Federation with all the countries she visited during her African tour and urged them to abide by these sanctions.
The minister stated that she threatened everyone with a quick and decisive response from Washington to the violations of these sanctions.
During her visit to South Africa, the minister added, "I discussed the issue of sanctions in all the countries I visited... Violations of these sanctions by companies and local authorities will be met with a swift and strong response from us. We urge compliance with these sanctions."
Earlier, South African Foreign Minister Naledi Pandor said, in an interview with the "Novosti" correspondent, that her country hinted to the United States that it wanted to reconsider the unilateral sanctions that affect the interests of many countries.
The minister said that South Africa is discussing with Russia expanding cooperation in the economy, trade, agriculture, and defense.
