During the meeting, they discussed the relations of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region with Turkey, the political situation in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, especially after the new Iraqi federal government assumed its duties, the relations of Erbil and Baghdad, and dialogue to solve outstanding problems between them and opportunities for Iraq and the Kurdistan Region to cooperate with Turkey in the field of energy.

The two sides stressed the bilateral desire to strengthen the relations of the Kurdistan Region and Turkey in all fields, especially in the fields of trade and economy, and to benefit from the opportunities available to expand joint cooperation between Iraq and the Kurdistan Region and between Turkey in the field of energy to fill the vacuum and the current need in the world, especially Europe, in the fields of energy and natural gas.
