ARK News... Tree-cutting operations are still going on in the villages and towns of Afrin, in Syrian Kurdistan, the latest of which was cutting down about 150 olive trees.
A private source confirmed to ARK that the armed factions cut down about 150 olive trees from their roots, in the village of Midanky, in Shara town. It is owned by Kurdish peasants.
Organizations and activists confirm that since the beginning of Turkey and the armed factions' 2018 invasion of the city and its environs and villages, more than a million and a half olive and forest trees have been cut down, without the perpetrators being held accountable.
