Nechirvan Barzani discusses with McGurk the cooperation and coordination between Erbil and Washington

The meeting came after the arrival of the US President's envoy and the White House Coordinator for Middle East and North Africa Affairs, Brett McGurk, to Erbil from Baghdad, where he met with Federal Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, where the guest renewed the US administration's commitment to the Strategic Framework Agreement and support for "reforms." The Iraqi government is in the field of energy and infrastructure and facing climate change.
In addition, McGurk is expected to discuss with Nechirvan Barzani the file of the war against ISIS, in addition to cooperation and coordination between the Kurdistan Region and the United States, and the internal situation in the Kurdistan Region.
According to information, the meeting was attended by the Special Presidential Coordinator for Global Infrastructure and Energy Security, Amos Hochstein, and US Ambassador Alina Romanowski.
