ARK News... On the ninth anniversary of the kidnapping of the activist Amir Hamid by the PYD in the city of Derbasiya in Syrian Kurdistan, the activist's brother participated in the ARK newsletter, on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, in which he sent a message quoting his mother to the officials and leaders of the PYD administration.

Hassan Hamed said, quoting her mother: "She sends a message to the officials and leaders of the PYD administration to provide any information about him and his fate without delay or equivocation, whether he is alive or has been liquidated."

Hassan Hamed added, "Since 2019, we have not received any information about him or his fate except that he and another person were transferred to the city of Qamishlo for their release, and despite the release of the young man who was transferred with him, since then we have not received any information about him."

He pointed out, "The YPG, as a kidnapping party, did not admit its responsibility for his kidnapping, but Mazloum Kobani officially admitted in 2019 that he will form a committee to follow up, reveal his fate, and prosecute those involved. Unfortunately, the committee was only for media consumption and did not skip a single step, until now, on the contrary, they want to silence us and not our demand to reveal the fate of our brother, the weakest of faith is that we do not remain silent about the demand to reveal the fate of our brother.

He stressed, "There are clear contradictions in their statements, and their lack of recognition constitutes serious fears for us of his liquidation, and since the date of his kidnapping, we have been striving and communicating with international human rights and humanitarian organizations, such as Reporters Without Borders, Amnesty International, and relevant international organizations, and we will continue our efforts at home and abroad until his fate is revealed and his trial is brought implicated to justice."

He appealed to all parties to provide information about him and his fate, especially the people close to the family working within this administration, he appealed to reveal about him if he was alive or had been liquidated, "We want to know his fate, and this is my mother's message that demands, day and night, to disclose his fate, whether he is alive or has been liquidated."
