Kurdistan Municipality and Tourism: Implementing 531 projects in 2022

ARK News… The Ministry of Municipality and Tourism of the Kurdistan Regional Government said that the past year 2022 witnessed the implementation of 531 different projects at a cost of more than 28 billion dinars from the ministry's revenues.

It explained that these projects were completed in the governorates of Erbil, the capital, Sulaimaniyah, Duhok, and Halabja, and the independent administrations in Garmiyan, Soran, Raparin, and Zakho, at a cost of 28,520,592,718.

The ministry indicated that these projects included the water, sewage, and tourism sectors. Pointing to the completion of 235 projects in the municipal sector, 277 in the water and sewage sector, and 18 projects in the tourism sector.

The ministry also indicated an increase in its imports during the past year 2022, compared to 2021, by 55%, noting that the ministry’s revenues amounted to 306 billion and 250 million dinars, and are used in the completion of municipal service projects.
